Patna: The Patna Municipal Corporation (PMC) will organise bimonthly Sahyog Shivir in all wards from June 2 to address public grievances. The camps will be held on the first and third Tuesday of every month from 10am.District magistrate Thiyagarajan S M reviewed preparations and assessed the programme’s status, which — besides PMC wards — will also cover 41 gram panchayats and wards across 17 urban local bodies.For the inaugural session on June 2, camps will be held at Murlichak Primary School (New Capital Circle), Guru Sahay Lane Community Hall (Patliputra Circle), Kadamkuan Community Hall (Bankipore Circle), Water Resources Office (Kankarbagh Circle), Urdu Middle School at Narkat Ghat (Azimabad Circle), and Vishwakarma Community Hall, Bahari Begampur Mandi (Patna City Circle).To streamline grievance redressal, citizens can submit applications up to 30 days in advance at circle offices, via WhatsApp, toll-free helplines, or the online portal. Applications will also be accepted at the camps.Each camp will have representatives from 19 government departments. Ward-level staff — including tax collectors, sanitation supervisors and inspectors — will be present, while circle executive officers and headquarters officials will oversee operations. Public representatives have also been invited.All grievances will be registered on the Public Grievance Redressal Portal, and departments have been directed to resolve cases and provide written updates within 30 days. Revenue officials will also display lists of pending and disposed land-related cases at the venues.The DM said the initiative, launched on May 19 following the chief minister’s call, aims to ensure speedy grievance redressal at the grassroots under the slogan “Sabka Samman, Jeevan Aasan”, with thousands already participating.
