Patna: The Patna Municipal Corporation (PMC) and Chanpatia Nagar Panchayat have partnered under the ministry of housing and urban affairs’ Swachh City Jodi initiative, with Patna designated as a mentor city to guide Chanpatia on urban sanitation practices. A delegation from Chanpatia arrived on Thursday to inspect infrastructure such as pink toilets, bottle banks and organic waste composters. The team also met mayor Sita Sahu to discuss waste management and citizen engagement. The training module includes door-to-door waste collection and mechanised desludging. On the second day of the visit, the team will tour the Ramchak Bairiya plant for waste-disposal demonstrations. The initiative will contribute to 500 points in the Swachh Survekshan 2026 rankings.
