Patna: Yashpal Meena, commissioner, Patna Municipal Corporation, on Sunday inspected the ongoing Mandiri Nala revitalisation project and the redevelopment works at Bans Ghat crematorium. The Mandiri Nala project includes construction of a 1,289-metre two-lane road connecting Nehru Path (Bailey Road) to Bans Ghat. The initiative also features a box drain, service road, de-silting chambers and sluice gates to streamline drainage in areas such as Mithapur and Gardanibagh. The upgraded Bans Ghat facility will provide both electric and traditional crematoriums, along with a mortuary, prayer halls and a water tank connected to the Ganga river. Meena directed officials to ensure timely completion of the projects. Both works are in the final stages and are aimed at strengthening urban infrastructure and improving public amenities in the state capital.
