Varanasi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will virtually interact with youths and sportspersons from across the country during the ‘Khel Ki Baat, PM Modi Ke Saath’ programme on Aug 27.The programme will be conducted under the Centre’s Viksit Bharat Yuva Connect – Sports Edition initiative.Officials said Modi will address more than eight lakh youths from nearly 1,600 locations across the country through a virtual platform. Following PM’s address, a special interaction session will be held with MY Bharat volunteers, local youths and athletes.In Gorakhpur, the main event will be held at Mahayogi Gorakhnath University on the eve of National Sports Day, with union minister of state Kamlesh Paswan attending as the chief guest.District youth officer of MY Bharat Centre, Gorakhpur, Seema Pandey said the programme aims to connect young people and the sporting community through a common national platform while strengthening sports culture, encouraging youth participation and promoting nation-building.As part of the initiative, youth-connect events will be organised in two colleges in every district, providing participants an opportunity to interact with sportspersons, MPs, MLAs, ministers and other public representatives.
