Varanasi: In a major development push, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate and lay the foundation of projects worth Rs 6,270 crore during his upcoming visit to his parliamentary constituency Varanasi on April 28.Among these, the PM will inaugurate projects worth Rs 1053 crore and lay the foundation of others worth Rs 5217 crore.According to officials, the PM will inaugurate the four-lane widening and strengthening work of Varanasi-Azamgarh Road from Kaali Mata Mandir to Ring Road, 19 connecting village roads, ROB on railway link number 23-A near Kazzakpura on Varanasi city-Sarnath rail route, tourism development of Sant Kabir prakatya sthal Sarangnath Temple near Sarnath, beautification and renovation of Sant Ravidas Park, Nagwa, redeveloped Chandrawati Ghat, 500 MT godown at Harahua & Bhawanipur, District Integrated Public Health Lab, 30 Rural drinking water schemes under Jal Jeevan Mission, repaired & revitalized 23 school buildings with smart classes, synthetic hockey turf field at UP College Ground, 50-bed field hospital in CHC Cholapur, 100-bed old age home at Ramnagar under CSR, redeveloped government schools at Bellary, Jakhini, Thathara, Chittaipur and Lalpur under CSR and 55 MLD STP at Bhagwanpur, among others.The PM will also lay the foundation for projects, including 71 village link roads, a 500-bed multi super-speciality hospital at SSPG, redevelopment of a 198-bed hospital, and a 100-bed critical care block. Other projects cover Assi Ghat mechanised parking, Nagar Nigam office building, Badagaon Women Police Outpost, Ramnagar Child Shelter Home and Juvenile Justice Board, and a CM Model School at Baradih, Sewapuri.
