CHANDIGARH: The BJP has stepped up preparations for PM Narendra Modi’s proposed visit to Jind on July 17, with Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Bhatia personally supervising arrangements as the rally coordinator.Bhatiam a close confidant of Union minister Manohar Lal Khattar , who had spearheaded Khattar;s shows and campaigns has been conducting regular inspections of the venue, reviewing preparations ranging from the stage and pandal to seating, parking, drinking water, security and other logistical arrangements.On Friday , he formally inaugurated the pandal construction by performing a ceremonial coconut-breaking ritual and marking the start of work with a hammer.The Rajya Sabha MP was seen coordinating with party workers and officials at the venue, issuing directions to ensure timely completion of arrangements. Party leaders said the BJP aims to make the event not only a major political gathering but also a showcase of its organisational and management capabilities.Bhatia has also been playing a key role in review meetings chaired by Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, state BJP president Dr Archana Gupta and other senior leaders. The party has entrusted him with overseeing preparations and coordinating between various committees and the organisation.According to BJP sources, responsibilities have been assigned to workers down to the booth level to ensure a large turnout, with Bhatia regularly monitoring the progress. Political observers said his organisational experience and ability to coordinate between the party and the administration were among the reasons he was chosen for the assignment.During his visit, Prime Minister Modi is scheduled to flag off the country’s first hydrogen-powered train from Jind and inaugurate and lay foundation stones for several development projects in Haryana. The programme is being viewed as one of the state’s most significant political and developmental events this year.With a week to go, Bhatia has intensified coordination with party functionaries and various committees. BJP workers said preparations have entered the final phase under his close supervision, with the party leaving little to chance ahead of the Prime Minister’s visit.
