Nagpur: The sale of platform tickets at Nagpur Railway Station will remain temporarily restricted from April 10 to May 30, to manage the anticipated rise in passenger traffic during the summer season.Officials said the move is necessitated by the temporary closure of Platform No. 2 for ongoing concourse development work.Platform tickets will, however, be issued in essential cases, including for attendants accompanying senior citizens, ailing passengers, children, illiterate individuals, and women requiring assistance.Authorities described the decision as a precautionary measure and said information about the restriction will be prominently displayed in Hindi and Marathi to avoid confusion. Railway staff have also been instructed to clearly communicate the purpose of the restriction and ensure that passengers in need of assistance are not inconvenienced.
