Gurgaon: A 26-year-old man employed at a Pizza Hut outlet in Sector 67 died after his motorcycle allegedly rammed into a stationary truck near Ghamroj toll plaza at 2am on Sunday.Rajveer Baghel, a resident of Indri village in Nuh district, worked as a cashier and was returning home with his neighbour, Sanjay, on a motorcycle when the accident took place.In his complaint, Rajveer’s father Satish Kumar said he received a call around 3am, informing that his son had met with an accident and had been taken to a hospital in Sohna. The family rushed to the hospital, where doctors declared Rajveer dead during treatment.In his statement to the police, Sanjay said he was riding pillion on a black Splendor motorcycle while Rajveer was driving. “After crossing the Ghamdoj toll plaza, the motorcycle collided with a trailer which was parked without parking lights, indicators or other safety precautions,” he said.An FIR was registered against the unidentified driver under sections 281 (rash driving or riding on a public way), 285 (danger or obstruction in a public way) and 106(1) (causing death by negligence) of the BNS.Police said a crime scene team inspected the spot, and the body was examined at the hospital before being sent for autopsy. Police are working to identify and trace the trailer driver.
