Prayagraj: A photo exhibition dedicated to the Maha Kumbh 2025 was organised by the ‘Photo Society’ in the Meidling district of Vienna, the capital of Austria recently. Indian Ambassador to Vienna, Shambhu S Kumaran, visited the exhibition. Approximately, 50 photographs are displayed, depicting the various spiritual, cultural, and social dimensions of the Maha Kumbh. The members of the photo society participated in the Maha Kumbh held in Prayagraj last year and captured their experiences on camera. Photographs depicting the Sangam snan, glimpses of saints and sages, the faith of devotees, and the grandeur of the world’s biggest religious congregation were particular highlights of the exhibition. Engineer Wilfried Zankl, district mayor of Meidling, and Walter Schuster, director of the School of Public Education, were also present at the event. Guests praised the exhibition, noting that such events further strengthen the cultural ties between India and Austria. Mela Adikhari, Rishi Raj, said, “The photo exhibition in Austria, showcasing the memories of the Prayagraj Maha Kumbh, was organised by the people who attended the Maha Kumbh. It reflects the grandeur of the Maha Kumbh and the fundamental spirit of Sanatan Dharma. Its appreciation even outside the country is an expression of this very idea of Indian culture.”
