Speaking to reporters, he referred to the preparations made by the poll body. Goyal appreciated its efforts and said it would help ensure smooth polling. “The Election Commission has made extensive arrangements. I congratulate them,” he said.

Expressing confidence in voter participation, he added that people of West Bengal will take a considered decision while voting. “I have full confidence that when the brothers and sisters of West Bengal go to the polls tomorrow to decide their future, they will vote very thoughtfully,” Goyal said.
He further remarked that voters would take into account their recent experiences while making their choice. “Naturally, keeping in mind the chaos they have witnessed in recent years, they will vote for a good government and good people and ensure the victory of a good government,” he added.
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) spread out its multiple teams across West Bengal ahead of the second phase of polls as part of precautionary measures to ensure a peaceful electoral process and to enable a swift response to any untoward situation.
“The agency has intensified its presence as part of precautionary measures to ensure a peaceful electoral process. The NIA teams are stationed on the ground to enable swift response to any untoward situation that may arise before, during, or after polling,” said the officials.
The polling for the second phase of the West Bengal Assembly elections will take place on April 29, with counting of votes on May 4.
The Union Minister also spoke about the transformation of Varanasi under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, highlighting development in the last decade.

Speaking on the city’s progress, Goyal said, “The development we have seen in Varanasi over the last twelve years is amazing. The image of Varanasi has completely changed.”
He further added that development in the city will continue at a faster pace in the coming years. “Under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, Varanasi’s development journey will move forward even faster,” he said.
