Gurgaon: A 32-year-old man died after being hit by a speeding motorcycle near a logistics company in IMT Manesar on Sunday evening. Police have registered a case against the unidentified rider, who fled the spot after the accident.The deceased, Rajkumar Chaudhary, was a native of Madhya Pradesh and worked as a labourer. He was living in rented accommodation in the city with his cousin, Anant Kumar Chaudhary.According to the complaint lodged by Anant, he was informed on Sunday that Rajkumar had met with an accident around 7.30pm. When he reached the spot near Duisport Packing Logistics India Pvt Ltd in IMT Manesar, he found Rajkumar lying injured on the roadside.People present at the scene told him that a speeding Royal Enfield Bullet 350, bearing registration number HR26FL6081, had hit Rajkumar before the rider fled without stopping to help him.“Rajkumar was initially taken to a private hospital in Manesar and was later referred to the Sector 10 govt hospital due to the severity of his injuries. He later died during treatment,” a police officer said.Based on the complaint and medical records, an FIR was registered at Kherki Daula police station on Monday under sections 281 (rash driving) and 106 (causing death by negligence) of BNS against the unidentified rider.Police said efforts are underway to trace the rider using the motorcycle’s registration number and CCTV footage from the area. The body was handed over to the family after an autopsy at the Sector 10 govt hospital.
