Noida: A 34-year-old motorcyclist was killed after his bike was allegedly hit by a speeding bulldozer in Sector 39 area in the early hours of July 6. The driver fled the scene after the accident.The accident took place near the Sector 44 police outpost at around 1.50 am when the victim, Arjun, was returning to his home in Delhi on a motorcycle.According to the complaint filed by the victim’s cousin, Baliram, Arjun was riding from Sector 44 towards Delhi when the speeding bulldozer allegedly rammed into his motorcycle due to negligent driving, leaving him critically injured.Passers-by alerted the police and emergency services, following which Arjun was rushed to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared him dead on arrival.Police said the bulldozer driver fled immediately after the accident, leaving the damaged motorcycle behind. Based on the complaint, the police have registered an FIR against the unidentified driver under provisions related to rash and negligent driving causing death.Investigators have begun examining CCTV footage from cameras installed near the accident site to identify the JCB and its driver.The victim’s body was sent for post-mortem examination and later handed over to his family.Further investigation is underway.
