Making it equally clear that his assignment would be driven by teamwork rather than individual projection, Tawde repeatedly invoked the BJP’s collective leadership — from Prime Minister Narendra Modi, party chief Nitin Nabin, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and the state organisation-signalling his emphasis on taking everyone along as the party gears up for the 2027 Assembly elections.
Sources in the BJP said his immediate organisational focus is expected to revolve around the 4Cs — coordination, cadres, caste and candidature — with a special emphasis on nearly 100 Assembly constituencies where the BJP underperformed in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
Setting the political tone for his new assignment, Tawde took direct aim at Akhilesh Yadav’s much-publicised PDA (Pichhda, Dalit, Alpsankhyak) formula, giving the acronym a fresh political twist.
“PDA and SP mean ‘Paraya Dhan Apna’. NDA will never let this happen,” he told reporters after arriving in Lucknow, signalling that the BJP intends to take on the Samajwadi Party’s social coalition narrative head-on.
His understated arrival also reflected his working style. Tawde asked party workers to avoid elaborate hoardings and grand receptions, preferring to devote the visit to organisational meetings and election planning rather than public spectacle.
