Patna: Bihar is set to strengthen its drug quality monitoring and pharmaceutical research infrastructure with a proposed state-of-the-art drug testing laboratory and analytical development facility (ADF) in Patna.A review meeting chaired by health minister Nishant Kumar on Tuesday discussed infrastructure, technical capabilities, budget and operational requirements. Health department secretary Kumar Ravi and officials from NIPER Hajipur attended.The facility is expected to support drug testing, pharmaceutical research, new formulations and quality-control processes. Nishant directed officials to expedite the project and ensure the proposed facilities are effective and useful.
