Noida: A wedding procession was attacked by a group of people at Jalpura village after a dispute over parking spiralled on Wednesday night, leaving several people injured and multiple vehicles vandalised.According to police, the wedding party arrived from Kondli village. When Yogendra Kumar, a guest from Surajpur village, parked his car near the venue, a few local residents objected, triggering an argument that quickly turned violent.Yogendra alleged that a group of villagers began abusing the wedding party before attacking them with sticks, rods and bricks. Several baraatis sustained injuries, including serious head wounds. Yogendra suffered a leg injury, while his son was struck on the head. Attackers also smashed vehicle windows and allegedly attempted to snatch gold chains from guests during the melee.Police teams reached the spot after being alerted, but the accused fled. Based on a complaint filed by one Deepak, the Ecotech-3 police registered a case against 12 named persons, including Yaseen, Yusuf, Vakil, Arif, Nadeem, Alam, Junaid, Majid, Saddam, Firoz, Kalu and Shoaib, along with several unidentified persons, under sections relating to assault and property damage.Four suspects have been taken into custody.
