Panchkula: Police have arrested Nikhil Gulshia, the main accused in an alleged ₹20.8-lakh Canada work visa fraud, following his evading arrest under a look out circular.Gulshia was produced in court and placed on three days’ police remand. According to police commissioner Pankaj Nain, investigators will question him during the remand period regarding other accomplices, money transactions, and additional victims.The case stems from a complaint filed by Aamir Soeb, a resident of Raipur Rani. Soeb alleged that Gulshia and his co-accused, Lalit Handa, operating through an office in Amravati Enclave, promised to send him to Canada on a work visa within six months and collected funds through various payment modes.Investigation into bank records confirmed that the complainant and other victims transferred approximately ₹20.8 lakh into accounts provided by the duo.Co-accused Lalit Handa was arrested on July 12, while Gulshia had been absconding. Gulshia also faces another immigration fraud case registered at the Raipur Rani Police Station.
