Nagpur: Padma Shri awardee businessman Satya Narayan Nuwal was felicitated by Madhav Netralaya on Tuesday. The event saw distinguished speakers praising Nuwal for his contributions to nation-building and India’s progress towards self-reliance.Suresh Bhaiyyaji Joshi, senior RSS functionary, said that technologies developed by the Solar Industries Group for the defence sector have strengthened the country’s self-reliance. “India is making global advancements through initiatives such as Make in India. Nuwal was awarded Padma Shri for his contributions to national development. He is an inspiration and guide for many,” Joshi said.

Motilal Oswal, managing director of the Motilal Oswal Group, Dr Avinash Chandra Agnihotri, general secretary of Madhav Netralaya Charitable Trust, Nikhil Mundle, vice president of Madhav Netralaya, Major General Anil Bam, managing director of Madhav Netralaya, were present during the event. Joshi said that Nuwal’s journey reflects dedication to national service and social responsibility. “Nuwal maintains an ethical commitment to his business and embodies humility,” Joshi said.Ganpat Kothari and Motilal Oswal also praised Nuwal’s contributions, while highlighting Solar Group’s role in strengthening India’s self-reliance.In his speech, Nuwal dedicated the award to those who shaped his values. “Contributing to national security through Solar Group is a great honour for me. The recognition will further inspire us to continue nation-building efforts with integrity.” Nuwal said.Earlier, Dr Avinash Agnihotri spoke about ongoing projects by Madhav Netralaya, including centenary year initiatives and plans to use artificial intelligence to prevent blindness in newborns. Neha Mishra conducted the proceedings while Nikhil Mundle delivered the vote of thanks.Dignitaries including RSS pracharak Ravindra Bhusari, Vijay Chauthaiwale and Nana Palkar Krishnaji Mahadik, along with others were also present.
