Bhagalpur: District magistrate Nawal Kishor Choudhary disposed of more than 70 claim applications—including old-age pension disputes, land-related issues and other public grievances—during open sessions held at the district collectorate from Thursday to Sunday under the state government’s Saat Nischay-3 citizen-centric initiative.In these sessions, complaints related to digitised land records, old-age pensions, urban infrastructure, door-step healthcare for the elderly and extremely poor, among other issues, were taken up. The DM said the problem-solving sessions were conducted in the presence of officials from various departments.Along with disposing of applications, officials also sought feedback on ease of issuing certificates to senior citizens and persons with disabilities, nursing and elderly healthcare support, safe pedestrian pathways in urban, suburban and rural areas.The DM directed officials to organise public camps regularly at the block, sub-division, police station and district levels. He also instructed them to register grievances and issue acknowledgement slips to applicants to ensure transparency and easy tracking of complaints.
