Patna: The state education department on Monday allocated schools and districts to 10,322 women teachers who had been transferred. This includes 881 teachers who had earlier received district postings but had not been assigned specific schools and 1,063 teachers who were not allotted districts or schools earlier due to the low teacher-to-student ratio at their current institutions.Also, the department finalised the transfer of 8,378 teachers for classes VI to XII. Of these, 2,043 teachers were allotted both districts and schools while the remaining 6,335 were allotted only districts. The responsibility for assigning schools to these teachers now lies with the respective district establishment committees following the district allocation.Out of a total of 65,277 transfer orders issued, only 4,110 teachers have declined the transfers.
