Lucknow: An emergency operation theatre (OT) and a new skill lab was inaugurated at RPG Mother and Child Referral Hospital on Monday.The facilities were inaugurated by Prof CM Singh, director, Ram Manohar Lohia Institute of Medical Sciences (RMLIMS), which runs the hospital.“The second emergency OT is expected to enhance access to prompt maternal and child health services,” said Singh.The newly launched Skill Lab aims to improve training for medical students by offering simulation-based practice and assessment. It will cater to both undergraduate and postgraduate students and help them gain hands-on experience in a controlled environment. The director also stated that the initiative would contribute towards improving maternal and infant health outcomes in the state.The event was attended by Dr Vikram Singh, chief medical superintendent, Dr Shrikesh Singh, medical superintendent, Dr Neetu Singh, head of obstetrics and gynaecology), along with faculty members, resident doctors, nurses, and technical staff.
