Mangaluru: Sri Ambamaheshwari Seva Trust has submitted a letter to the Dakshina Kannada DC, and forwarded copies to the commissioner of MCC, the commissioner of Mangaluru city police and the RTO, requesting the authorities to put the newly developed Mangaladevi Bus Terminal at Jeppu for use immediately. The trust stated in a release that Mangaladevi Temple Road in the city experiences increased traffic during the Dasara festival as a large number of devotees visit the temple. To ease traffic congestion and improve public safety, the trust has requested the authorities to bring the newly developed Mangaladevi Bus Terminal at Jeppu into immediate use. The Mangaladevi Bus Terminal was inaugurated in Feb 2025. However, it has not been put to use. The Trust has requested the authorities to shift bus operations to the new terminal during this year’s Dasara festival and continue using it as the designated bus terminal thereafter.
