T’puram: Union minister of state for defence Sanjay Seth visited Pangode Military Station and interacted with officers and soldiers stationed at the camp. Brigadier Anurag Upadhyay, station commander, commanding officers and soldiers from Madras Regiment and Garhwal Regiment participated in the event.Addressing the officers and soldiers, the minister said ‘Operation Sindoor‘ enhanced the pride of the nation. He reiterated that govt would continue to maintain a zero-tolerance approach towards terrorism. The minister also stated that the concept of Atmanirbhar Bharat would be implemented across all sectors, including defence production. He said the country was striving to realize the Prime Minister’s vision of a ‘Viksit Bharat’ by 2047. Highlighting the role of armed forces during disasters, he said their services reflected commitment to the nation. He added that Pangode Military Station was an inspiring formation as it possesses defence capabilities on both land and water.The minister assured that soldiers would be provided with improved resources and better training facilities to help them perform their duties for the nation more effectively.
