Times News NetworkKanpur: A man died and two of his companions received injuries in an accident near Usrahar on the Agra-Lucknow Expressway, in Etawah on Monday morning. The three friends were returning home after a trip to Nepal.The accident took place at around 7:30 am on the Agra-Lucknow Expressway near Hardu village. The three friends, who were residents of Punjab and Haryana, were returning from Nepal to Jalandhar. Their car went out of control and collided with the divider.As soon as information about the accident was received, the UPEIDA team reached the spot and started rescue work. The injured were immediately sent by ambulance to Uttar Pradesh University of Medical Sciences, Saifai where doctors declared 39-year-old Saurabh, son of Satish Kumar, resident of Sharda Vihar Extension Colony, Nasirabad, Gurugram, Haryana dead.The treatment of the 37-year-old Rahul, son of Sikandar Nath Sharma, resident of Shaheed Babu Labh Singh Nagar, Jalandhar, who was driving the car and 42-year-old Vishal, son of Yashpal, resident of Kishanpura, Jalandhar is ongoing. Both are said to be in a critical condition.UPEIDA Safety Officer Manohar Singh said that the injured were immediately taken to the hospital. The accident-hit car was removed with the help of a crane and sent to Chaubiya police station.The injured Vishal’s brother Vikas said that the three friends were returning from a trip to Nepal. The deceased Saurabh was the only son of his father. The police have informed the family members and further necessary action is being taken.
