T’puram: A one-day gathering titled ‘MP and Timeless Dreams’, exploring the ideas and contributions of the late thinker, scientist, science writer M P Parameswaran, will be held in the capital on Wednesday.Organised by Kerala Sasthra Sahithya Parishad, the programme will be held at the State Bank Staff Union Hall, Panavila Jn from 9.30am. The gathering aims to draw inspiration from Parameswaran’s vision and help develop a clear direction for the organisation’s future activities while strengthening the confidence of its members to take up new initiatives. The programme will begin with a screening of the documentary ‘Varnangal Layicha Neelakasham’, based on Parameswaran’s life and ideas.The first session will be ‘M P: The Person and His Life’, with R Radhakrishnan as moderator. C P Narayanan, B Iqbal, R Parvathi Devi, G Sajan and V Ravindran will present various aspects of his life and contributions.The second session, ‘M P the Organiser’, will have K K Krishnakumar, C Ramakrishnan, T Radharani, N K Sasidharan Pillai, Jai Somanath, T Geena Kumari and K Mohan Kumar as speakers at the session, which will be moderated by N Jagajeevan.The third session, titled ‘MP the Organic Thinker’ will examine various dimensions of Parameswaran’s thought, including his democratic ideas, the transition from ideas to practice, environment and development, energy planning, decentralised development and the evolution of gender awareness.The concluding session, ‘Moving Forward’, will begin at 4pm. T M Thomas Isaac, Binoy Viswam, Sharada Muraleedharan and Rizwan C will participate in the session and recall Parameswaran’s contributions and vision.
