Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to visit the United States in December for the G20 Summit, according to US Ambassador to India Sergio Gor. Speaking on the sidelines of the IX USISPF Leadership Summit 2026, Gor said the US would “love to have” PM Modi visit again, adding that Secretary of State Marco Rubio had extended an invitation during his recent visit to India. Gor also expressed optimism over the proposed interim India-US trade agreement, saying negotiations have made significant progress and the deal could be finalised “sooner rather than later.” He noted that President Donald Trump remains closely engaged in strengthening bilateral ties, while highlighting growing trade and business exchanges between the two countries.
