Nagpur: Amid concerns over supply disruptions due to the Gulf crisis, officials from oil marketing companies have assured that depots in and around the city have sufficient stock of petrol and diesel, and no shortages are expected in the coming days.The nearest depot, belonging to Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited, is at Borkhedi, over 30 km from Nagpur. A senior official confirmed adequate stock and said a fresh rake of supplies is expected on Thursday.Other companies largely rely on the Nayara Energy terminal in Wardha, which currently also has ample stock. Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) maintains a depot in Akola, while Indian Oil Corporation has a facility in Chandrapur.Petrol pumps in Nagpur experienced moderate crowds, with no signs of panic. “The oil companies have assured us of sufficient petrol and diesel,” said Amit Gupta, president of the Federation of Maharashtra Petroleum Dealers Association (FAMPEDA), Vidarbha unit.Gupta noted that some pumps were closed for Holi, and fresh loading was slightly delayed as drivers were on leave for the festival. Nagpur city has 105 petrol pumps in total.
