Oh Junsung of Korea, ranked 22 in the world and Miwa Harimoto (Japan), world ranked seven, have been given the top billing in the men’s and women’s singles respectively in the WTT Star Contender to be held at the Tamil Nadu Physical and Sports University here from February 10 to 15, according to the World Table Tennis (WTT) website.
Manav Thakkar of India, with a World ranking of 33, is seeded five in men’s singles. In fact, Junsung and Miwa won their maiden Star Contender crowns in Chennai in March 2025. The seedings of men’s, women’s doubles and mixed doubles haven’t been released yet.
