Kolkata: What looked like a scene straight out of a Bollywood action film unfolded on the busy BT Road in Khardah on Monday afternoon, when a woman on a scooter stopped, grabbed a man by the collar, and marched him to the local police station.The woman, an off-duty police constable in plain clothes, said: “The man flashed me and made obscene gestures and comments.” Unaware that the woman he was targeting was a cop, the accused allegedly continued his misconduct. Within moments, however, the tables turned dramatically“The officer caught hold of the man by his collar and dragged him nearly 400 m to Khardah Police Station, with many stopping to watch as the alleged harasser was marched away,” a local trader said.Police said the accused, identified as Akash Ghosh, is a delivery agent.“The way she single-handedly apprehended the accused is commendable and truly exemplary,” a senior officer said.
