Bhubaneswar: Odisha has been selected for the ‘PM Surya Ghar Excellence Awards,’ securing the top position among states with the highest number of consumer applications, solar installations and discom inspections for medium-level consumers, CM Mohan Charan Majhi said on Tuesday.Besides, the state achieved third place in the ‘Maximum Vendor Registrations’ category. “This success is a result of the government’s forward-thinking approach, departmental coordination and the collective efforts of all field officers. I extend heartfelt congratulations to all departments, officers and stakeholders involved in this campaign,” Majhi shared in X.The CM said, “Odisha is setting an example for the entire country in the use of solar energy and sustainable development. The state received national recognition for its remarkable performance in the ‘Month of Solar’ campaign held in May.”“Odisha is committed to environment-friendly development in the renewable energy sector and this achievement will further enrich the state’s energy sector and lay the foundation for a self-reliant Odisha in the future,” he added.
