Bhubaneswar: The state sentence review board (SSRB) has considered the remission plea of 56 life convicts on July 6, information shared by the govt to Orissa high court shows. As per proceedings of an HC order on July 9, hearing a petition on premature release of eligible prisoners, the govt counsel has taken one week’s time to produce the SSRB resolution.While there is no clarity on the prisoners whom the SSRB has decided to release, the next hearing on remission plea of Graham Staines convict Dara Singh is scheduled in Supreme Court on July 14.
