Jalandhar: The Shiromani Akali Dal on Monday claimed that the godown owner booked for obstructing access to govt wheat was close to the ruling Aam Aadmi Party, and other partners in the godown were spared action.Addressing a press conference here on Monday, former MP and SAD leader Mohinder Singh Kaypee presented pictures of accused Upkar Singh Hothi with AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal and chief minister Bhagwant Mann to support his claim.Presenting another picture, Kaypee said Kejriwal and Mann used Hothi’s vehicle for their roadshow in Jalandhar. In fact, these pictures were uploaded by Hothi on his Facebook wall, he added.Kaypee further said there were other partners in the godown, J S Farm, Sarmastpur, and they should also be named instead of being saved.The Jalandhar Rural police registered a case against Hothi following a complaint from the district food and civil supplies department, Jalandhar, regarding obstruction in access to the Punjab govt central pool wheat (49,672 bags, approximately 24,836 quintals).The case was registered on Feb 27 against J S Farm, Sarmastpur, owner Upkar Singh Hothi.MSID:: 128947627 413 |
