Lucknow: Hazratganj police registered FIR against a man for posting an objectionable comment on a Facebook post of a BJP office-bearer. The matter is being investigated with the assistance of the cyber cell.The BJP member, regional vice-president of the party’s Awadh region and resident of Indira Nagar, uploaded a photograph on her Facebook page after her meeting with BJP national president Nitin Nabin when he visited Lucknow on Jun 5.She alleged Prabhas Yadav posted an abusive comment on the picture she posted. She checked the user’s profile and learnt he was based in Lucknow. The complainant subsequently approached Hazratganj police and sought legal action against the accused.Hazratganj SHO Vikram Singh said cyber cell is examining the electronic evidence and verifying the identity of the accused. Further legal action will be taken based on the findings of the investigation and the digital evidence collected during the probe.
