Vadodara: City-based Navrachana University (NU) will host TetraTHON 2026, a 36-hour Indo-French artificial intelligence (AI) hackathon under the IndiaAI Mission from July 31 to Aug 2, bringing together around 250 participants from India and France to develop AI-driven solutions for real-world challenges.Organised by the university’s innovation foundation, the event will feature around 40 multidisciplinary teams comprising students, researchers, startup enthusiasts and technology professionals.Participants will tackle industry-defined challenges in healthcare, finance, agriculture and education under the theme “AI for Inclusive Growth and Scalable Impact.” Students from ISEN Méditerranée, France, will participate virtually. Teams will build functional AI prototypes with mentorship from academicians and industry experts during the 36-hour innovation sprint.Selected teams will receive incubation support through NIF, while promising innovations may also be backed by House of Starts, the Student Startup and Innovation Policy (SSIP), Govt of Gujarat and the MSME Incubation Scheme of the Govt of India.The competition offers a prize pool of Rs 1.75 lakh, with awards for the top three teams and internship opportunities for outstanding participants. The hackathon begins with registration and the unveiling of industry problem statements on July 31, followed by presentations before an expert jury after the coding sprint. Winners will be announced during the valedictory function on Aug 7.
