Vadodara: A 21-year-old man was found dead under mysterious circumstances at a friend’s house in the city on Tuesday, with police awaiting the post-mortem report to ascertain the cause of death.The deceased, Aakash Patil, had left his home on Dabhoi Road on Monday to meet two friends. According to police, the trio spent the evening at the Waghodia Road residence of one of them, Ajay Parmar.“All three were at Parmar’s house. Later, Parmar and the other friend left, while Patil told them he would stay back there for the night,” a Varnama police official said.When Patil failed to return home on Tuesday, his father began searching for him and contacted his friends. On learning that Patil had stayed at Parmar’s house, the family, along with Parmar, went to the residence and found him lying motionless on a bed.Police said there were no visible external injuries on Patil’s body. “The exact cause of death is yet to be established. The body has been sent for post-mortem examination,” the official said.Patil was employed with a private firm. Investigators are questioning his friends to reconstruct the events leading up to his death, including what they ate or consumed on Monday and whether Patil had any pre-existing medical condition.His family has urged police to conduct a thorough investigation into the mysterious death.
