The Noida airport is set to shrink distances to Varanasi, Jaunpur, Chandauli, Ghazipur, and other districts, saving time and hassle. It is also poised to give a major boost to religious tourism, medical tourism, and business travel, opening up new avenues for growth and exploration.Western UP cities like Agra, Meerut, and Greater Noida are set to get a whole lot closer to Purvanchal folks, thanks to the new airport. Vishwa Bhushan Mishra, joint director, Dharmaarth Karya department, said that Jewar airport is going to benefit religious tourism in Uttar Pradesh. After landing at Jewar airport, travel to Mathura, Agra, Bateshwar, Shakumbhari Devi, Prayagraj, Ayodhya, Vindhyachal, and Chardham in Uttarakhand will also become closer for Indian and foreign tourists. After visiting Kashi Vishwanath Dham and other temples, they can proceed to their destinations from Varanasi airport. Jewar airport will also prove helpful for travel on the Buddhist circuit. South Indian tourists will be able to start their journey from Kashi and proceed to their destination from Jewar.Rahul Mehta, chairman, National Tourism & Hospitality Committee, Indian Industries Association (IIA) and state president, Tourism Welfare Association-UP, said that Jewar airport will directly connect agriculture, MSME, logistics, tourism and industries to the global market. Being close to Purvanchal, the development at Jewar International Airport will benefit the region. There is a possibility of an increase in farmers’ income, as products like fruits, vegetables, dairy and decorative flowers will directly reach international markets.
