Vasco: The no-confidence motion against Mormugao Municipal Council’s deputy chairperson Ramchandra Kamat was passed with 13 votes at a special council meeting on Friday.The meeting was convened by the MMC’s chairperson Girish Borkar to discuss the motion, which was approved by a show of hands.
Opposition councillors had earlier objected to the proceedings and the notice issued by Borkar, however, despite their objections, the motion was still passed.Opposition termed the motion as void, filed a complaint with the director of municipal administration, and warned that they would seek justice.tnn
