Noida: Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) has extended the deadline for the e-auction scheme to allot plots for hospitals and child welfare and maternity centres till Aug 30. Earlier, the scheme’s last date was Feb 25. The authority did not get suitable bidders and hence it extended the deadline.The scheme includes two hospital plots in Sector 18, measuring 5,300 sqm and 6,378 sqm, with reserve prices of Rs 14 crore and Rs 17 crore. Another hospital plot measuring 10,900 sqm has been offered in Sector 20 with a reserve price of Rs 29 crore, making it the costliest plot under the scheme.YEIDA has also put up for auction a 10,115-sqm hospital plot in Sector 22D with a reserve price of Rs 27 crore. Besides these, the authority has earmarked a 5,000 sqm plot for a child welfare and maternity centre in Sector 20, carrying a reserve price of Rs 13 crore. The reserve allotment rate for all the institutional plots has been fixed at Rs 27,330 per sqm.The hospitals shall be developed in a maximum of five years and the child welfare and maternity centre in six years.The applicants need to submit 10% of the premium as an earnest money deposit while the remaining amount shall be paid in instalments. The officials said 40% of the premium shall be paid within 60 days of issuance of the allotment letter, and the remaining 60% shall be paid in four equal half-yearly instalments.The scheme aims to strengthen healthcare infrastructure around Noida International Airport, which is witnessing rapid development.
