Gorakhpur: BJP MP from Gorakhpur Ravi Kishan on Wednesday targeted Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav, saying there was no ‘Raj Yog’ in his horoscope for years and that he should forget the 2027 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections.Speaking to reporters, Kishan said Akhilesh was free to dream but claimed people no longer wanted to return to what he described as the “darkness” of the previous govt. “The people will write his horoscope,” the BJP MP said, asserting that the mood in the state favoured the ruling party.Kishan also took aim at Akhilesh’s ongoing rath yatra, saying the SP chief would get a chance to see development carried out in Uttar Pradesh under BJP govts led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and chief minister Yogi Adityanath. He said the journey should be used to observe improved roads and other infrastructure projects.The actor-turned-politician suggested Akhilesh visit the Ram temple in Ayodhya, Kashi Vishwanath and Vindhyachal corridors, and renovated govt schools. Kishan said the tour would show the SP chief what he called an “Uttam Pradesh” and an “Utsav Pradesh”.Akhilesh launched the Samajwadi Party’s rath yatra on Sept 24 ahead of the 2027 elections and travelled to Rae Bareli.Reacting to the campaign, the BJP MP reiterated that the yatra could double as a visit to review the state’s development works under the Yogi govt.
