He reaffirmed his party’s resolve to focus on nation‑building and the country’s development over politics and elections, and said that youth will play a major role in realising the resolve to make India a developed nation by 2047.

“Politics, elections, and governance have their own place, but we have set out with the resolve to build the nation and develop India,” Modi said, interacting via video conference with participants of the ‘Seva Sankalp Yatra‘, being held from Vadnagar in Gujarat to Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh.
The yatra, involving youth from various states, is being organised to mark Modi’s 76th birthday and his 25 years of public life as an elected representative. The participants of the yatra were currently in Madhya Pradesh’s Dewas district.

Varanasi and Vadnagar are ancient cities that have remained vibrant, Modi noted, adding that one is his birthplace and the other his “karmabhoomi” (land of duty).”From Gujarat to Delhi, service has been the core of our governance system and values. When service is at the core of governance, the resolve of ‘Nagrik Devo Bhava’ (Citizen is God) is at the heart of every policy,” he stressed.
“Our conduct should show people that no matter how much power we attain in politics, our fundamental path will remain service. We will never deviate from the path of service, no matter how high we reach,” the PM asserted.
He said that people remember works done with a spirit of service and bless those who serve.
“My entire life has been driven by the blessings of the people. Their blessings have been the greatest energy in my life,” Modi said.
He added that “serving the nation through serving the people” has been the core mantra of his life.
The prime minister emphasised that the spirit of service is at the foundation of the schemes implemented by his government for the benefit of various sections of society, including the poor, women, girls, the sick, and tribals.
When the spirit of service is applied to the country’s policies, service itself becomes the “biggest driving force” for the country’s progress, he pointed out.
Modi emphasised that the young generation will play a crucial role in fulfilling the resolve to build a developed India by 2047, and that the youth must strongly connect with this goal.
“Today’s young generation is both the creator of a developed India and will also be a major beneficiary once this goal is achieved,” he noted.
The prime minister said that both travel and service have been deeply rooted in social values in India, and he himself has led many yatras during his long political career.
He told the youth participating in the ‘Seva Sankalp Yatra’ that serving the people should be their primary objective.
“You have to give the message of service while serving. You don’t have to preach service. We will convey the message of service not through words, but through service,” he stated.
“Give the message of service through your actions by serving the people. We will move forward with this spirit of ‘Seva Parmo Dharma’ – service is the highest religion,” he added.
Modi further called upon the participants of the yatra to learn from the rich treasure of traditional knowledge and solutions of the villagers and spread the message of the Indian philosophy of ‘unity in diversity‘ across the country.
He also asked the participants to talk to people about the ‘Shakti ki Sapta Dhara‘ (seven streams of power) during the yatra.
On August 15, PM Modi had laid out a seven-point reform framework, ‘Sapta Dhara’, aimed at accelerating India’s journey towards becoming a developed nation by 2047, with a focus on manufacturing, agro-food production and food processing, technology and innovation, logistics, defence, green and blue economy, and soft power.
Participants in the ‘Seva Sankalp Yatra’ also shared their experiences with the PM.
One of the participants said, “Inspired by the prime minister, a village in Jhabua district of Madhya Pradesh has been named Modi Phalia.” All Gen-Z people are in support of Modi, he added.
