Nagpur: Mayor Neeta Thakre has directed personnel from the Fire and Emergency Services Department, Disaster Management Department and zonal sanitation wings to remain on high alert and ensure a prompt response to emergencies.She urged residents, particularly those living along riverbanks, nullahs and in low-lying areas, to remain vigilant and contact the fire department control room if water levels rise or in case of any other emergency.The mayor also urged corporators to extend all possible assistance to residents. The civic body has activated emergency response arrangements through all its zonal offices.“The Shraddheya Atal Bihari Vajpayee City Operation Centre (COC) at NMC headquarters is functioning round the clock.
