Patna: CM Nitish Kumar on Wednesday tried to increase the public appearance of his son by putting forward Nishant Kumar during a ‘Dawat-e-Iftar’ hosted by the former at his official residence at 1, Anne Marg, here.Nishant was seen sitting with the rozedars (those observing the fast) at a place where Nitish himself used to sit during the Dawat-e-Iftar in previous years. Today, Nitish was seen sitting behind on a chair. While Nishant was seen wearing the traditional skullcap (topi) and a ‘gamchha’, his father was not wearing either the skullcap or the traditional ‘gamchha’ while sitting on the chair with both hands folded.A large number of rozedars and dignitaries participated in the Dawat-e-Iftar, hosted at ‘Nek Samvad’ hall located inside the CM house.“Before the Iftar, Sajjadanasheen of Mittan Ghat, Hazrat Saiyed Shah Shameemuddin Ahmad Munami, elaborated on the significance of Ramzan and Roza and offered a collective ‘dua’. On this occasion, the CM, along with the invited guests, joined the collective ‘dua’ and prayed to Khuda-e-Taala for the progress, development, mutual brotherhood and love in the state. The CM welcomed all the arriving guests and rozedars one by one,” a communiqué issued by the chief minister’s office (CMO) said.The CM joined the Dawat-e-Iftar after returning from his ‘Samriddhi Yatra’ in Jamui and Nawada districts.Both deputy CMs Samrat Chaudhary and Vijay Kumar Sinha, chairman of Bihar legislative council Awdhesh Narayan Singh, water resources minister Vijay Kumar Chaudhary, rural development minister Shravan Kumar, industries minister Dilip Jaiswal, education minister Sunil Kumar, minority welfare minister Md Jama Khan, public health engineering minister Sanjay Kumar Singh, minor water resources minister Santosh Suman, agriculture minister Ramkripal Yadav, along with several other ministers, BJP state president Sanjay Saraogi, JDU state president Umesh Kushwaha, MLAs, MLCs, other public representatives, senior administrative and police officers of the state, and a large number of rozedars joined the Dawat-e-Iftar at the CM residence.Earlier on Tuesday, Nitish attended another Dawat-e-Iftar at the Haj Bhawan alongside his son, Nishant Kumar, and other NDA leaders.
