Patna: Health minister and JD(U) functionary Nishant Kumar on Sunday appealed to youths and other voters to vote for party candidate Neeraj Kumar in the Patna graduate constituency of the legislative council, citing the reforms undertaken by former CM and JD(U) president Nitish Kumar in the education sector.“Neeraj Kumar has been a dedicated and experienced ‘sathi (comrade)’ in the party. He has an unflinching commitment to socialist ideology and has always engaged himself with the problems of people in his constituency,” Nishant told a gathering of youths at the state JD(U) headquarters.“Given his background, it is incumbent on all the youths to work for his victory with full unity among them,” he said.Nishant cited reforms in school education and the opening of engineering and medical colleges and universities. He also urged youths to reach out to voters and inform them about the work done by Nitish.“Present CM Samrat Choudhary has been following in the footprints of the former CM in the area of good governance and promotion of developmental activities in the state,” he added.
