New Delhi: Elections to 10 Bihar Legislative Council (MLC) seats falling vacant have been scheduled for June 18, with June 8 being the last date for filing nominations. On Friday, both BJP and JDU released lists of four candidates each. Going by the current numbers, the NDA is expected to win nine of the 10 seats, while the Opposition may secure one seat.JDU has fielded state health minister Nishant Kumar, who is currently not a member of either House. The party has also nominated Lalan Mandal, Bharti Mehta and Shivrani Devi. BJP has fielded Bhojpuri actor Pawan Singh as its MLC candidate. The party has also renominated its national media co-incharge Sanjay Mayukh for a third term. The other two BJP candidates are Anil Kumar Thakur and Sheela Pandit.
