Actor-singer Nick Jonas is winning major hubby points by heping spread the buzz around wife, Priyanka Chopra’s highly anticipated film ‘Varanasi’.The singer, who is currently on tour with his band, The Jonas Brothers, gushed about Priyanka’s return to Indian cinema, while also joking about her Indian film career before venturing into Hollywood.

During an appearance on the Smartless Podcast, Nick encouraged the host to visit India and went on to share, “Priyanka has been shooting there. This movie by the director that did ‘RRR’ was his last film. Big Indian kind of epic film and she’s not [done] a movie there in about eight years. So its a big, big deal… her return.”

The singer-actor also joked about Priyanka’s long filmography, adding, “She did eighty-something movies before she started, in this industry over there. Over 80 films, yeah. She’s 75 years old, Will.”

Nick went on to praise the passion of Indian audiences and the immense reach of Indian cinema globally. He said, “It’s really a fascinating thing, you know, the way in which the Indian audience reveres their film talent, their stars is like unlike anything I’ve ever seen before. And it’s obviously an enormous audience, over a billion people in India. And then globally, the reach is so big and there’s a bunch of projects that are really starting to make a huge impact globally now as well, which is exciting to see.”
About ‘Varanasi’
Priyanka’s return to Indian films with SS Rajamouli’s ‘Varanasi’ has already generated significant buzz among fans. The film starring Mahesh Babu and Prithviraj Sukumaran in the lead roles, is currently in the works in India. The mega-budget, time-travel saga is scheduled for a worldwide release on April 7, 2027.Priyanka also released her film ‘The Bluff’ and the web series ‘Citadel’ Season 2 early this year.
