Lucknow/Ayodhya: A day after their appointment, first chief executive officer of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, Air Marshal (Retd) Jeetendra Mishra, and Trust members Madan Mohan Pandey and Mahesh Bhagchandaka (treasurer), reached Ayodhya on Thursday to seek the blessings of Ram Lalla.They were asked to visit the Ram Temple for a formal introduction to office bearers and functionaries involved with overseeing the working of the temple.An hour-long closed-door meeting took place at the Karyashala of the Ram Temple in Ramghat.General secretary of the Trust, Swami Govind Dev Giri, presided over the meeting which was organised on an informal note.Apart from the four involved with the Trust, senior Vishwa Hindu Parishad functionaries Dinesh Ji and Bajrang Lal Bagra were also present during the briefing.Earlier in the day, Swami Govind Giri met former general secretary of the Trust Champat Rai and former trustee Anil Mishra at Bharat Kuti in Karsewakpuram.Sources said Giri met Rai and Mishra as the two original trustees, who resigned in June, were the senior most functionaries who had complete understanding of the day-to-day operations of the Trust.Newly appointed trustee Madan Mohan Pandey said, “We all have to meet the expectations of the devotees who come to the Ram Temple. The priority of the Trust is to streamline various systems and processes ahead of the festival season when the turnout of the devotees goes up substantially.”Earlier, the CEO and the newly appointed members toured the Ram temple complex to meet senior executives and functionaries and representatives of key agencies and security staff members.Chief of the religious committee, Govind Giri, will meet the other eight members of the committee to finalise religious activities and events ahead of the festive season.
