Srinagar, Oct 14: The Directorate of School Education Kashmir (DSEK) has announced new school timings for government and recognised private schools across the Kashmir Division, effective October 15, 2026.
According to an official order issued by the Director of School Education Kashmir, schools falling within the municipal limits of Srinagar city will function from 10:00 am to 3:30 pm.
Schools located outside Srinagar’s municipal limits, as well as those in other areas of the Kashmir Province, will operate from 10:30 am to 4:00 pm.
The DSEK has directed all concerned government and recognised private educational institutions to strictly adhere to the new schedule without any deviation.
The order has been circulated to the concerned administrative authorities, education officers and other departments for information and necessary action. The Chief Education Officers have also been directed to ensure strict implementation of the new timings across their respective jurisdictions.
