Aizawl: School education minister of Mizoram Vanlalthlana on Friday inaugurated the NE’s first-ever “New Age Tech Skills Centre” at the Government Comprehensive Model School, Model Veng locality in Aizawl.The centre has been established under the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative of Bharat Forge Ltd, a globally renowned company in the field of forging and defence manufacturing. SimuSoft Technologies is the project’s technical partner and has led the setup of the centre, training delivery and curriculum development. The initiative is being implemented in collaboration with the school education department, Govt of Mizoram.The project originated from the CSR workshop organised in Aizawl in June 2025 by the Confederation of Indian Industry and the CSR Cell, Govt of Mizoram.Described as the first school-level technology skills lab of its kind in Mizoram and across the NE region, the centre will train students in advanced technologies including Artificial Intelligence (AI), Robotics, Internet of Things (IoT), 3D Printing, CAD, CNC Simulation, and Drone Technology, with support from Bharat Forge CSR and technical expertise from SimuSoft Technologies.The initiative is aimed at advancing the objectives of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 by linking classroom learning with practical, industry-relevant technical education. SimuSoft Technologies has also developed specialised AI curriculum materials and textbooks for school students, which were officially launched during the programme.The event included the formal inauguration of the centre and live demonstrations of AI, robotics, IoT and simulation technologies.
