Bengaluru: An 11-year-old boy was attacked allegedly by a neighbour’s pet dog while cycling between 8am and 8.30am on March 21 in Rajajinagar. His mother (41), an advocate, filed a complaint with Subramanyanagar police on March 26.According to the complaint, a Belgian Shepherd was being taken for a walk by its owner, Madhu alias Madhusudhan. The dog attacked her son’s left leg and he fell from his bicycle, the mother told police. However, the dog owner left the spot with his pet without helping the boy.A senior police officer said a case was registered under BNS Section 125(a) (act endangering life or personal safety of others) at Subramanyanagar police station. Since the case is registered under bailable charges, the accused cannot be arrested immediately, but will be issued a notice.The boy is recovering, the officer added.
