JAIPUR: The NEET-PG 2026 examination was disrupted at a test centre in Jaipur’s Sitapura area on Sunday after a technical glitch affected the computer systems, leaving several candidates unable to continue the exam normally.ACP Lalit Sharma said the authorities received information that the server at the centre was not functioning properly, resulting in some candidates’ computers opening while others did not, news agency PTI reported.“Some candidates’ computers opened while others did not, causing disruption to the examination,” Sharma said.The disruption triggered anger among candidates at the centre, with students expressing concern over the impact of the technical problem on their examination.Police and administrative officials reached the centre and began speaking to the candidates to bring the situation under control.“We are discussing the matter with them and trying to counsel them,” Sharma said.He added that talks were also being held at a higher level with the organising agency to find a “logical and meaningful solution” to the issue, PTI reporetd.ACP Sharma said, “The exam will be conducted again on September 5, 3pm.”The NEET-PG examination was conducted across the country on Sunday in a single shift.The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) had made arrangements for the examination to be held at centres across the country, with authorities putting security and surveillance measures in place.The examination was scheduled from 9am to 12.30pm, with candidates appearing for the computer-based test at designated centres.The Jaipur disruption comes as candidates had already been advised to follow examination-centre protocols and immediately report any technical problems to invigilators.Further details on the action being considered for candidates affected by the technical glitch are awaited.\(With agency inputs)
