Varanasi: A workshop on Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM) was held at Rudraksh International Convention Centre on Wednesday to review its implementation and further strengthen digital health services across the region. Officials from Medical, Health and Family Welfare Department, representatives of health institutions and doctors from the private sector participated in the programme.UP Medical, Health and Family Welfare department secretary and Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission director Ritu Maheshwari , CEO of SACHIS Archana Verma; and divisional commissioner S Rajalingam were present on the occasion.Maheshwari shared details of the progress made under the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission at the state and district levels. She stressed the need to strengthen digital health services, bring more health institutions under ABDM and promote the use of digital health records. She said the mission seeks to make healthcare services more organised, accessible and patient-centric through digital platforms.Rajalingam said the information and guidance shared during the workshop would be implemented effectively across health institutions in the division. He emphasised the need for better coordination among govt departments and health institutions to strengthen digital health services.SACHIS CEO Archana Verma highlighted the need for improved digital coordination between ABDM and the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PM-JAY). She said integrating PM-JAY with ABDM’s digital system would make healthcare processes easier and more effective for beneficiaries as well as health institutions. She also urged health institutions to make effective use of digital platforms and follow the required procedures for their implementation.The workshop focused on bringing more govt and private health institutions under ABDM to expand digital health services and ensure that patients receive healthcare benefits in a more accessible, systematic and efficient manner.
